Eating habits
Dietary habits also show interesting variation across alcohol consumption levels. For example, a remarkably high proportion of daily drinkers report not feeling well when consuming gluten. This could indicate increased sensitivity within this group or reflect lifestyle or dietary patterns that tend to co-occur with frequent alcohol use.
In contrast, lactose consumption is highest among those who never drink, although only about a quarter of this group reports consuming lactose. This relatively low number suggests that lactose consumption is generally uncommon in the sample. Meanwhile, multivitamin use remains fairly steady across all groups, showing no clear link with alcohol consumption.
Personal care
To explore self-care and personal hygiene, we created a radar chart comparing habits across the five alcohol groups. The chart includes behaviours such as flossing, brushing teeth, cosmetic use, exercise, and sleep, each rated on a scale from 0 (completely neglectful) to 4 (highly consistent). Surprisingly, all groups follow similar patterns of self-care, with one exception: the two extremes—those who never drink and those who drink daily—report noticeably lower use of cosmetics. This might suggest that both groups place less emphasis on appearance-related routines, potentially for very different reasons, ranging from lifestyle preferences to health or cultural values.
